Growing up in British Columbia, sports played a significant role in Angella Goran's childhood. From a young age she had a fascination with strength and endurance. Her roll models were a mix of world class athletes both professional and amateur. Angella played a number of sports throughout high school but really took a shining to rowing in her final year.

At the University of Victoria, she was one of only two freshman to make the Varsity Rowing Team. In 2007 Angella moved to Ottawa, ON to pursue the next stage in her life, a career. It is here that she found a a new passion for Triathlon. In addition to running her own business, Angella dedicates her time to training with other amateur triathletes in hopes of some day competing at a world class level.
