MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
2007 Masters Tournament Champion

From an early age it was clear that Zach Johnson was a talented athlete. Taking up golf at the age of ten, he developed his skills playing at a local country club and later on the Regis High School golf team. Attending Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa on a golf scholarship, Johnson led the Bulldogs to three NCAA regional meets and two Missouri Valley championships. After graduating, Johnson worked his way up the developmental tour circuit before qualifying for a spot on the Tour in 2003. In April 2007, Johnson won the Masters Tournament, his first major title, by a margin of two strokes over Tiger Woods, Retief Goosen, and Rory Sabbatini. His score tied Sam Snead and Jack Burke Jr. for the winning score at the Masters.
