Andrea is a USAT licensed elite triathlete from St. Joseph, Michigan. In 2009, after 9 years of on-again, off-again bouts with running, she decided it was time to compete in her first 70.3 half Ironman! During her second season, at the Ironman Louisville Kentucky, she took 5th overall as a female amateur (placing as the 9th overall female, including professional women.) She continued improving and in 2011 claimed first overall female amateur and 6th overall female at Ironman Madison Wisconsin, clinching her bid for a pro card. To Andrea, being a triathlete is a lifestyle. Her first race this year is the Ironman San Juan 70.3 in Puerto Rico on Sunday March 17th! We’ll be rooting for her in the Ironman 70.3 Steelhead on August 4th (her hometown race), the Ironman Wisconsin on September 8th and several more races to come! Follow her journey on our Facebook page and her blog at http://andreahutchins.wordpress.com/! Keep moving, Andrea!
