Welcome to Team Amino Vital, Jonas Cherry!

Join us in rolling out the welcome mat for the newest Team Amino Vital Weekend Warrior Jonas Cherry!  Jonas is a Lieutenant in the Special Operations division of the Raleigh Police Department in North Carolina. Jonas entered his first bodybuilding contest in 1987 and won the overall title for Mr. Rowan County Classic in Salisbury, NC.  He continued to garner more accolades including:

• Winner – Middleweight Division of NPC (National Physique Committee) Mr. Mountaineer - 1989
• Second Place – NPC Mr. North Carolina Bodybuilding Championship - 1991
• Winner – Overall Men’s Title at NPC Mr. North Carolina Bodybuilding Championship - 1992
• Winner – WBNF (World Natural Bodybuilding Federation) Mr. Atlantic Coast - 1995
• Placed 9^th – WNBF World Championships our of 44 competitors from 13 different countries - 1997
• Winner – Mr. NC Master Men’s Division – 2004

  Jonas became a recreational cyclist in 2009 following a knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus. He has ridden in several 100-mile cycling and road racing events.  He recently competed in a 1-day, 212-mile ultra-endurance ride from Greensboro to Wrightsville Beach and in his first time-trial sprint at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.  Jonas is currently training for the Orange Star Criteriums Races in Cary, NC, on August 10^th.
